Fourth many memories! One of the best ones was invention grade Ari Gertner

This year was a very fun year; so Convention. This was a great memory because we got to invent something! I invented the Samuel Tall Scooter. My favorite subject was science. This was my favorite subject because you got to do so many fun things such as test out batteries to light bulbs. My favorite book this year was Nancy Drew. This was my favorite book because it was a great mystery. If this year had a theme song it would be Billy Joel We Didn’t Start the Fire.  We could use all the students’ names at the beginning and say, “We didn’t start the fourth grade, it was always going since the world’s been turning!”  This year was so funny and I wish I could see all of you in person.

Charlie And the Chocolate Factory

This week in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie found the golden ticket. The next morning Charlie and grandpa Joe head to the factory. When Charlie heads to the factory with the other kids, he takes a tour. The first room he goes to is the chocolate room. When they step foot into the room, it is a beautiful a sight, he sees candy everywhere. He also sees a chocolate river .Willy Wonka said the chocolate river is mixed by water fall. It is the only chocolate river  in the whole wide  world that is mixed by water fall that is why it is so good! Once Willy Wonka says it’s ok to have any of the candy in the room, one of the kids goes straight to the chocolate river and starts drinking it. The next thing you know, you hear Willy Wonka saying, “No! Stop drinking that chocolate! It must not be touched by human hands!” Then suddenly, the kid falls in this chocolate river and he can’t swim.

The next room they go into is the inventing room. If you don’t know what the inventing room is, it’s where Mr. Willy Wonka invents all sorts of candy. He says to the children, “You make look around, but don’t touch anything.” When they are about to go to the next room, Mr. Wonka tells them he has one last thing to show them. He says, “Here is a piece of gum that has a whole meal in it. It has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and dessert . You must not try it, i’ts not quite ready yet.” But one of the kids snatches it from his hand and chews it anyway, She talks about how you can taste the different meals, even the dessert which is blueberry pie. Her mother notices her nose is turning violet. Willy Wonka tells her to spit the gum out because the dessert part is where all his workers turn into blue berries. Violet also turns into a blueberry!

ARIELA GERTNER

This week I started a new book called Charlie and the chocolate factory. This book is a great book for what I have read. All I have read so far is that Charlie is very poor. He lives in a very small house that has two rooms and one bed. Charlie lives with his four grandparents that are all in their 90s. Their family only gets cabbage and cabbage stew for their meals a day. Charlie gets one bar of chocolate a year for his birthday. In the newspaper, they read that the famous Willy Wonka is giving away four golden tickets to visit his chocolate factory. Charlie just opened his birthday chocolate bar, but there was no golden tickest.

Shipwreck

Hi guys! I’m a YouTuber and my name’s Holly. This week, I am doing a skit on getting stranded on an island. Let me give you more of a background to the story. The story line is that I was on a ship and it sunk!  I don’t know what happened to everyone else, but I swam to an island and now I am stranded with only three things in my backpack: a knife, a fire starter, and a water filter.

Now I will tell you why I brought each thing. The first thing I brought was a knife I brought this to cut things like fruit and vines. It can also be used  to stab fish. The next thing I brought is a fire starter. I brought this so I can cook fish, have boiling water, stay warm, and so the mosquitoes won’t come. The last thing I brought is a  water filtering device. If you don’t know what that is, it’s a device that turns sea water into drinking water. I brought this so I can have fresh water without worrying about getting sick.  I sure am glad I brought my back pack today.

I sure am glad you watched today’s video! I hope to see you next time! Make sure to subscribe and like this video. Bye!

Witches

I just finished the book Witches. This was a great book by Roald Dahl. I love this book because there is so much detail. I recommend this book for readers that like make-believe.

To compare the movie with the book, they are very similar. For instance, the details are the same both in the movie and the book.

I really enjoyed this book and recommend this book for all ages over 8 because there are some big words.

The Giant’s hand

One day in spring, a girl named Sarah was walking on the sidewalk and saw a giant’s hand holding a tree. She couldn’t even believe her eyes, so she blinked twice but she still saw it, Sarah started walking fast, then she started running, then she started sprinting to her house.

She thought maybe since it was Earth day, the giants were waking up. Sarah asked her friend Gia to come and see this. Gia came over to look at it. Sarah showed her but the hand was gone, and the tree was also gone. Sarah knew the hand had been here. She was certain of it,

One year later, on Earth day, she saw another giant’s hand. This time, she didn’t bother telling Gia, but she did still have a playdate with her, When she got to Gia’s house Gia said, “Be quiet! My parents are sleeping.” I thought to myself, “Why are her parents always sleeping? Why can we never play in her house? We always have to play in her backyard and I’ve always wondered why she has a picture of a baby giant in her backyard.” I asked Gia, “Why can we never play in your house?” Gia responded, “well, if you want to know the truth, my parents are always asleep until Earth day.” That made me really think, is Gia a giant? What do you think?

Can you believe Luke gets turned into a mouse next? After the witches meeting, one of the witches smells something like a child. Then all the witches smell it. Then they search for the child. Do you know who that child is? its Luke! Luke felt like a ballon getting squeezed from the top. Then before he new it he had hair growing out of his skin. Then he was a mouse. When I stopped reading, Luke was talking to his grandmother about how to find an important potion.

This week in Witches, Luke gets to the grand hotel. He finds that the grand high witch is there and all the other witches. One day, Luke trains his mice in a big auditorium and lots of women start going in including the woman he thinks is the grand high witch. The grand high witch starts saying, “You may remove your gloves. You may remove your wigs and shoes.” Luke now knows these are all witches. The grand high witch starts talking about formula 86 delayed mouse maker and how the witches can turn kids into mice by giving them one drop of it. Luke hears all of it, then a boy walks in and said,” Do you have chocolate?” The witch said, “Yes,” but instead of chocolate she gives him the drop off the mouse maker and he turns him into a mouse.

That’s all I read for this week.

The Lego Crash

Hi I’m Billy Bob Jo. I work at a police agency and I’m chasing after a criminal cat. Right now, I am in a one-person airplane and I’m about to crash into a huge Red Wood tree in San Diego. 10 seconds later. Well, here I am with a broken airplane in the middle of nowhere. I just called the police agency. They’re on their way to pick me up. I hope they come soon because a curious-looking Labradoodle is coming very close and I don’t like it. Luckily the dog was just chasing a squirrel. After five minutes, the agency comes. This time, I didn’t get the criminal cat, but another police person is going to get the cat for me. It was a weird day.
