I thought that the fourth grade was amazing😍. My favorite subject in fourth grade was Science class because I get to learn about nature and history class. The best moments were hiking, Colonial day, invention convention, and Bucket Head Brigade😉.  The thing that I did not like was distant learning because I am not with friends and teachers, and I do not get the fun activities I had been looking forward to one of which was Civil War Boot Camp😭. My favorite book was Lost On A Mountain In Maine because it was very suspenseful, and it was about a true story in nature. My favorite project was the scenery for Call It Courage because it was a scavenger hunt finding what I needed.

I am reading the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.  In the book, Harry learns that Umbrage, the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher, isn’t actually going to teach them. =0 Hermione and Ron decide that HARRY should teach them Defense against the Dark Arts. This far the book still hasn’t really gotten good yet.  I think that so far it’s an okay book.

I read the book Warrior Cats Ravenpaw’s Path which is 3 books put together in 1. This is a side book from the series Warrior Cats The Prophecies Begin. It is as good as the main series with a lot of action. In the book, Ravenpaw and Barley, who live on a farm, have visitors Willie, Snapper, Pounse, and Minty, and Minty was about to have kits. At first they are cats without a clan and are in need but turn out to be bad.  It has a surprise ending. I didn’t think Thunderclan, Ravenpaw, and Barley would be able to drive the bad cats away.

I am reading the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In the book Harry is on a walk with his cousin Dudley when 2 Dementers  attack them and Harry uses magic when he’s not allowed to. Harry ends up getting in a lot of trouble with the Ministry of Magic. Harry almost gets expelled from Hogwarts and almost loses his wand gets the Ministry to believe that  Dementers actually attacked him. This far I think that it is an OK book but so far it hasn’t gotten good yet.

The Giant and the Trees

There is a giant named Lumber, Cardinals named Mr. and Mrs. Red, squirrels named Mr. and Mrs. Nutty, raccoons named Mr. and Mrs. Bandit, and bunnies named Mr. and Mrs. White. They live in a scarred burnt down forest.

Lumber is trying to get out of the ground where he sleeps and help everyone. The animals lost their homes because the trees burned down. Lumber wants to plant trees. He is trying to stop pollution and help the animal’s environment. Lumber is walking when he finds a burnt down forest.

Lumber is walking around when a Cardinal named Mr. Red tells him that he and his family need a home and that someone threw a cigarette and it ignited a forest fire. Lumber plants a Birch tree and carves a home for the Cardinal. Then a squirrel named Mrs. Nutty tells him that she and her family need a home and food. Lumber plants 3 acorn trees and 1 Sour Maple. Then a raccoon named Mr. Bandit said he and his family needs a home. Lumber planted 2 Pine trees. He also planted 1 Spruce for a bunny named Mrs. White.

Lumber is a nice giant and he likes nature and making people laugh. He helps all animals by planting trees. He wants the environment to be healthy. He made sure that there was no more pollution and that there would be no more forest fires.

The animals all have homes all because of Lumber’s help. The animals do not need any more help, so Lumber goes back to sleep. He will wake up again when the animals need his help.

I finished the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In the book the third task ends up going wrong and Voldemort ends up rising back to power. Cedric Diggery  gets murdered by Voldemort and Mr. and Mrs. Diggery give Harry the Triwizard  cup. I think of  Voldemort coming back as a scary thing because I don’t want any of my favorite characters to die.  The task with the dragon is something  I’d never want to do in my life.

I’m reading the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In the book, Ron invited Harry and Hermione over and they all went to the World Cup. After the world cup, in the middle of the night, some Wizards start making Muggles (non magic people) levitate in mid air and the Wizards also start destroying the tents.  When they get to Hogwarts, the new defense against the Dark Arts teacher ends up being Mad Eye Moody.  This far my favorite part is when they went to the World Cup.

I finished Lance the Civil War dog and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I really liked Lance because he is a smart dog that wants to protect his family. I liked when Lance said both sides smell the same. The good on the Confederates side was Lances family and the bad was Miss. Jennie who was mean to Lance and the wounded Union soldiers. The good on the Union side was General Custer who was nice to Lance and didn’t let his soldiers burn the town. The bad was the soldier shaking the live chicken very hard by it’s legs and the ones who stole belongings from the people. The prisoner of Azkaban had a very good ending with the Dementers which were cool.  I  like the time travel because they were able to save Buckbeak and Sirius Black.  I also liked when Harry learns about his God father and more about his parents death. I think that both books have amazing endings.

I’m reading Lance the Civil War dog. Lance is a Newfoundland dog. He moved from London to Virgina.  He lives on a Plantation called Farmington where his job is to protect his family. The slaves there are really nice to Lance.  The main slaves in the book are named Hall and William, Hall’s nephew. The Union had arrived at Bull Run and a battle has happened. After the battle the wounded went to the town to be treated and now his job is to help the wounded.

One morning a girl named Flora decided to fly a helicopter over a rainforest. There was a Harpy Eagle and she was flying next to it. Then the Harpy Eagle flew away and she was really puzzled. A Titanis grabbed the back of the helicopter and threw it to the ground. The Titanis searched for the pilot and found the panicking pilot. It was about to grab her when all of a sudden a Gastornis [gas-TOR-nis] came from around a building and attacked the Titanis. The Gastornis won the battle. The Gastornis went away and came back later with food. The Gastornis said that his name was Paleo. Paleo led Flora around. The place was full of broken glass, crumbling buildings and shattered wood. There were old restrooms, restaurants, buildings with broken cages, broken down viewing areas and big overgrown habitats. “This is an old prehistoric zoo” said Flora “and I crashed in the Titanis exhibit”.

Paleo led Flora to a giant building. Inside the building there was a Colossochelys [ko-LAHS-oh-KEE-leez]. “How is it going Saunter” said Paleo. “Amazing with the sun to sunbath in, who’s she?” said Saunter. “I am Flora. What is this place?” said Flora “It’s our camp” said Paleo.

Flora and Paleo returned to the crash site. The helicopter was missing a blade. The back part was torn apart and the engine had exploded making a big hole in the front. “I need to get supplies.” said Flora. “I know someone who can help you” said Paleo.  Paleo left and came back with an Argentavis [ar-jen-TAY-viss] named Prime. “What do you need?” said Prime. “I need supplies to fix my helicopter” said Flora. Prime flew away to get supplies while Flora and Paleo inspected the damage.

Prime came back and was grabbed by a Titanis. Paleo charged at the Titanis, the dictator, and started fighting. Prime gave Flora the supplies and flew off to get help. Then a Woolly Mammoth came and knocked Paleo over. Flora ran and soon found a spear. She ran back and speared the Mammoth. Then even more of the dictator’s group came. There was a Coelodonta, Megaloceros, Deodicurus, Megathrium, Daeodon, Amebelodon and a Pyrotherium. Luckily Prime had come back with help and a battle started.

Flora got another spear and impaled the Titanis in the leg and Paleo bit his neck. Prime and three others got high altitude and dived down. Prime grabbed an enemy and threw him on a sharp rock. While a Smiladon was fighting a Homotherium, Prime grabbed the Homotherium and lifted him up and dropped him.  Both the Smiladon and Homotherium had lots of wounds but only the Homotherium died. The fighting raged on and an Amebelodon was killed along with 26 others.

The enemy was overthrown when the Titanis was killed. Flora, Paleo and some others fixed the helicopter. After Flora said goodbye to everybody, she took off in her helicopter and left.

I’m reading Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban. In the book there are new characters Professor Lupin, the Dementers and Siries Black. Askaban is a prison with guards who are Dementers. My favorite character is Professor Lupin because he is nice and he knows how to fend of Dementers. Harry, Ron and Hermine are helping the Professors find Siries Black.
