Week of April 6, 2020
Hello Kindergarten!
This week we are going to finish up “Falcon Soaring”. After we get the song back in our heads, we are going to add some movement!
Don’t forget that just like last week, you will need to get some kind of shaker like a maraca or tambourine. If you don’t have a shaker at your house, all you need is a box, can, or Tupperware filled with anything you can find like dried rice or beans, sand, rocks….anything will work!
Once you have a shaker ready next to you, click on this link and just follow along with me! The shaker part comes near the end, so you can leave it on the ground for right now.
Practice it as many times as you need until you have your movement set! I’d love to see what you come up with, so please feel free to record yourself (audio or video) and send it to me at zsantulli@fredericksburgacademy.org
Miss you all and hope you are well!

Hello Kindergarten!
This week we are going to continue with the song “Falcon Soaring”. After we get the song back in our heads, we will add some shaker instruments!
First, you will need to get some kind of shaker like a maraca or tambourine.
Practice it as many times as you need until you know exactly when to play your shaker!
If you would like to record yourself (audio or video) feel free to send it to me at zsantulli@fredericksburgacademy.org

Hello Falcons!
I hope that you are all well. I will be sending you weekly music lessons.
Here is your first lesson in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
A Parting Blessing
Traditional Irish Blessing
Music by Carol Erion
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sunshine warm upon your face
May the rain fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May you rest in the palm of God’s hand.
Lesson
Step 1. Test out your ability to watch and listen to a YouTube video
Step 2. Sing along where it’s comfortable for your voice
Step 3. While you sing, pat your lap in time with the piano
Step 4. Have someone record you with their smartphone or tablet (sound only or video, your choice) and email it back to me: zsantulli@fredericksburgacademy.org
Bonus step: Use something from your house as an instrument and play it with the rhythm of the piano. It can be an actual instrument or anything you have like a pot, tupperware, empty bucket, or whatever you have!
EXTRA bonus step: Teach someone at your house to sing this song with you!
Have fun and sing proud!
