End of Year Reflection

I learned the Indians helped the Pilgrims because they helped them plant corn and fish. I know that you can get a Caldecott Medal if you draw a good book. We went to Ferry Farm because George Washington lived there and he was a president. I learned plants need sun, love, water and soil so they can grow. The most important thing I learned was letter books because they help you read.

Self Portraits

On this one there is a lot of fingers! And my dress looks weird and I don’t have any hair. This red one has better fingers, but the dress is still weird and it doesn’t have hair. The next one looks like scribble scrabble. It has hair, but it’s scribble scrabbled. And it has fingers again! The last one is better than the others because I’m growing older and I know how to draw. This one has good hands and a good dress and good hair. It has all the parts.

My Daddy

Daddy is Mr. Kevin. He has black hair and I think brown eyes. He shaves off his beard. He puts shaving cream on his fingers and it makes the hair fall off. He puts something in his hair to make it go up. He is bigger than Mommy. He is really strong. He can lift me up. He lifts me up and rocks me like a baby. He is really, really handsome.

Daddy helps people with special tools like needles. I think his work is somewhere really far away. Sometimes he goes to a hotel that has his work and sometimes he sleeps there. He has to wear these pants that matches his shirt and on the back is a little golden.

He has money, but not very much. He gets money from the bank. You drive to the bank and then someone gives us something and we scan the card and it gives us more money. It only gives the card money. He uses the money for work so we can get more and more money. And Mommy did the card and got more money by paying to work here. Dad keeps his money in his wallet and he uses it to pay toys for me and Knox.

To relax he just looks at his phone and sits down on the couch. He looks at pictures, words and funny videos on his phone. He wears his white undershirt and not his work clothes.

Daddy cooks sometimes, then Mommy cleans, then Mommy cooks and Daddy cleans. Daddy makes meatloaf, chicken and rice. Only Mommy makes breakfast because he still sleeps when we are awake doing breakfast. He doesn’t cook Chinese, we buy Chinese. He likes chicken, rice and noodles.

He likes to watch a funny movie where they find cake pops and try to bake them and somebody has funny glasses, and they are really big. He watches football. I think he likes the green team. They throw the ball and someone catches it and then they run. You win if the team runs it and the other team gets it then that’s a point for the other team. The winner gets a trophy and a medal.

Sometimes me and my brother and my mom and me play Monopoly. You are one of the characters and if there is a card, then you get it if you want to buy it with money. If you get a jackpot you get more money and if you beat all of the characters and you have all the money, all the jackpots, then you win and you say “I won.”

My daddy is special because he spends time with me. I love him because he loves me. He loves me because he loves spending time with me and doing a trip and spending time with me and Mommy, and the dog, and Knox.

My Mommy

My mommy is Miss Ashley. She has brownish, blackish hair and kind of strawberry hair. Today she is wearing her hair like my hair in a ponytail. Her eyes are greenish, blackish, brownish. She wears white eyelashes and some-times she puts blush on with a brush that is very little. She puts her wedding earrings on her ears and sometimes she does put rings on. She is very pretty. As pretty as a flower.

Mommy has to work here at Fredericksburg Academy. She helps do the auction and even she helps decorate places in the school and she helps decorate the carnival. Her friends at work are Miss Dee. And this boy named Campbell, his mom works upstairs close to my mom’s office, but I don’t know her name.

At home, she has to clean the clothes and make snacks and lunches. Sometimes when we leave for school, she leaves the light on like someone’s home. She makes us breakfast. She gets me cereal. I get the bowl and spoon out. And she has to do the dishes. She doesn’t like to clean our rooms. That is the hardest and most impossible thing to do because we leave a big junk of mess in our room. Mommy cooks mac and cheese, rice and chicken and sometimes she makes meat loaf. I love her chicken because it has red sauce on it. I don’t like the pasta except the one with tomatoes and square cheese.

Her favorite restaurant is this place in Charlotte where Mommy and Daddy got engaged. My grandma, me and my mom and my American doll went there. My American doll was looking just like me and she was wearing high heels and we both had buns and curly hair on the side. We went there for a girls trip. My dad and Knox only had pizza for their dinner.

Mommy likes the beach for vacation. Every time we go there and we go to where the sand and the water is, she puts her chair in the water and it looks like her chair is moving when it goes up and down. One time when we went, Knox got on her back and they swimmed together and I got on my dad’s back and we all swimmed together. One time when we went something poked my toe and I wanted to get out. Sometimes we see boats. One time she saw a shark tooth and she tried to pick it up but it went back into the ocean.

In her free time, Mommy likes to play with us. One time we all went outside and it was snowing and my dad throwed a snow ball at my face!

My mommy is special because she likes being with me and my daddy and my brother and me. I love her because she loves me and Knox and Daddy. She loves me because I make my bed all by myself.

My End of Year Reflection

I learned about letters and letterbooks and I learned to write my name the school way. I remember our grandparents coming and I remember the Pilgrims and the Indians. I liked having the baby and riding on the table. I learned to do it and do it and do it and do it and I got smarter!

My Self Portrait Reflection

I don’t remember drawing any of those but this last one. I think the last one is the best because I have a dress and heels and a crown. The first one doesn’t have legs and a body or arms so it isn’t good. I didn’t know how to draw and now I do because I drawed it and drawed it and drawed it.

My Daddy

My daddy has short black hair and he brushes it and puts hair gel in it and his hair gets crunchy. His name is Kevin but I call him Daddy. Daddy Lin! I can’t remember what color his eyes are. I know they are white and black but I can’t remember what color they are. He doesn’t have a beard. His face feels weird, it feels like dot-dot-dot. He does shave it but it never comes off. He is the biggest in our family. He is so strong. I’ve never seen him saw a tree, but he does have a sawer.

Daddy goes to work and he puts on his work suit. It’s blue pants and his tennis shoes and his blue work shirt with a pocket on it. He said he would took us one time, but he didn’t yet. He does computer stuff at work, the kind of stuff I don’t know. He never told me if he has any friends there.

Daddy gets money from the bank. The bank people give it to him because he needs more money. He keeps it in his wallet. He uses it to buy stuff. He buyed me a Chinese lantern and he gave me a Chinese cup painted with flowers.

To relax, Daddy just sits on the couch and goes to sleep. Or he goes on the massage chair. There is buttons on there and you can turn them off and on.

Daddy cooks sometimes. He cooked my cinnamon rolls one time. They didn’t look good, but then he put it in the oven and it turned good. Mommy put the icing on. He cooks meat too, but I don’t like meat. It tastes kind of brown and yucky.

Daddy likes to watch sports on TV. He watches baseball, field hockey, and soccer. In field hockey you throw the ball in your stick. If you get in the net you score. You win if you get in the net a lot. Baseball you throw the ball and somebody throws it back. I don’t know how you win.

Daddy gives us walks with Holly and Libby. Holly died but Libby didn’t. We go through the neighborhood. He takes us to Toys R Us sometimes and buys us a toy. He reads the Frozen book and a princess book to me sometimes. He reads it when it’s night time.

At Disney World, Mommy took me to boutique, but Daddy took me to rides. The first time we went he holded me because I was just a baby. I like when Daddy holds me because I like him.

My daddy is special because he makes my dinner. I love him because I like him. He makes me happy. He loves me because he lets me clean my room up.

My Mommy

My mommy is Ashley. She wears pants and shirts and a pony tail. She has a straightener and the straightener can also be a curler. Sometimes when she goes in the water her hair gets black, but when she goes out of the water it turns brown. Her eyes are brown and white and black. Sometimes she wears makeup when she goes to dates with daddy. Sometimes when we go to dinner she has some on, but when she eats her lipstick comes off. Sometimes she lets me wear some of her make up. She puts eyelash on her eyes and blush on her cheeks and she wears lotion. Sometimes she wears jewelry. She always wears her wedding ring. When I went to the dentist she let me wear her blue ring. She is very pretty and one time daddy picked mommy up. It was weird and funny. She is as pretty as a angel, just like me. And Daddy tries to kiss her and we say “Bleck.”

Mommy cleans the dishes and vacuums and cleans the dishes again and again and again. She washes the clothes and one time I got cookies and cream ice cream on my clothes and she washed them. She cooks and sometimes daddy cooks. She cooks chicken, and we get sushi delivery. I love the pork and the sauce. She cooks rice and sometimes we go out. She makes pasta and spaghetti. There is nothing she cooks that I don’t like except things that are brown.

Mommy shops at the grocery store, the Virginia one. Sometimes at the grocery store we eat upstairs. She buys tomatoes and pizza and that kind of stuff. She buys me the pizza and the mac and cheese for Knox. Sometimes I eat them.

Mommy’s favorite restaurant is the Fishbone and I like it too. She gets soda to drink and sometimes tea and sometimes coffee. I can’t remember what she gets to eat. She gets nothing for dessert. Only sometimes she gets vanilla ice cream. Me and Knox got a chance to squirt the chocolate in our mouths. One time it shooted on my lips and I licked it off.

For vacation, Mommy likes to go to the beach and the Homestead. At the beach she watches us swim. Sometimes she looks at the sun with her sunglasses on. Sometimes she sits on a towel or a chair, but not on the sand. At the Homestead she likes to eat the chocolate strawberries but we leave some for daddy.

My mommy is special because I love her. I love her because I like her and she does everything I like. She loves me because she likes me and she calls me Sissy.
