End of Year Reflection

My name didn’t look that good but now I can write it the school way. Letterbooks helped me and my mom kind of teached me too. When I first came here I was a little shy and scared to go here. I made a lot of friends. I’ve gotten way better. I got glasses because I couldn’t see that much. Learning about the holidays was nice because there’s so many of them. My favorite thing is playing outside because at home I love to play basketball. PE is my favorite special.

My Daddy

My daddy is John. He has a lot of hair everywhere on him. He has my skin and his eyes are green. His hair on his head is black and some is up and some is down. His face feels hairy and after his shower he shaves it sometimes. He has a little rectangle thing that kind of sounds like a bee and he rubs it on his face to get the hair off. He is really tall. He is taller than my mom. He is strong because he has muscles.

At my daddy’s work he has a test, I don’t know what it’s called. I don’t know what his work is. I think he has one friend or a couple. I know he eats a snack but I don’t think he has lunch. When he goes to work I am in bed and he’s gone when I wake up. He is a hard worker.

Daddy did have money. One day he had zero dollars or something. He does have money sometimes. He gets money from his work. His teacher of work gives it to him. He saves it for stuff. At all kinds of places we go and when get stuff my dad gives the owner money. Sometimes they give him money back. They don’t give any to me, I don’t know why, they just don’t.

To relax Daddy watches shows. He likes to watch grown up shows like house shows. The grown ups look at houses, they just walk around and look at houses. It’s kind of boring to me, I don’t know why they like it. On not work days, he sleeps a lot. Only sometimes mom sleeps longer than dad.

Sometimes Daddy cooks food that he likes. He cooks soft chicken, and hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill. I really like taquitos, one day he gave me eight of them and strawberries and I ate all of them! I don’t really like the soft chicken, the only chicken I like is chicken tenders.

Daddy likes golf. He has golf in the garage but he doesn’t play very much. He just watches it on TV. You get a ball and try to hit it in a hole. On TV, it’s just grown ups. You win if you get your ball in the flag. It’s pretty bored for me.

Daddy likes to play checkers, Chutes and Ladders and foosball. In foosball, you have two things and you try to hit the ball and it goes all the way up to 10 but mine goes all the way up to 9. There’s two players on mine. Dad usually wins, sometimes I win. He is really good. We are going to go fishing in the summertime or something. I think you just get fish and you can eat them or throw them back. You put a pole in the water and if the fish grabs it you can pull them out. They are kind of crazy. They might jump out of your hand and go back in the water.

My daddy is special because when he works out it makes him healthy. I love him because he does stuff with me and he says good night to me and stuff. He loves me because he just does, I don’t know why but he does.

My Mommy

My mommy is Joey. She has like my skin and she has brown hair. I do not know about her eyes. I think sometimes she wears make-up. I think she puts it on in the bathroom and she puts it on her eyebrows. Sometimes she wears tank tops, those are like super-duper short sleeves, and sometimes she wears short sleeves, and when it’s cold she wears long sleeves. She wears pink a lot of days. She is as cute as a pie.

Mommy goes in her office and teaches kids and stuff and they learn. She works at FA, here. She reads books to kids too. She picks up people at their classes. I think sometimes she has snack that she heats up in the microwave. She brings her lunch to school and it is different than from her snack. She eats in her office by herself because she has to work on her computer. She only has friends at school that are little kids.

At home, Mommy does clean the kitchen floor. She uses a little wipe and she cleans it right up. Sometimes she cleans the walls and sometimes the living room. When the clothes are in the wet one, she asks me and Nolan to put it in the dryer and then she takes it out and puts it in the laundry basket. Then she brings them upstairs and she folds them and then we put them in our drawers. Sometimes I help with folding, but I put them in my drawers everyday. When Mommy is gone, Daddy cooks, but Mommy cooks mostly. Yesterday she cooked chicken, green beans, rice and strawberries. Sometimes they order me and Nolan pizza. I love that. I don’t really like the chicken that much. Sometimes they say I have to eat it and sometimes they say I don’t.

Mommy’s favorite restaurant is Vinny’s. She likes to get for her drink, iced tea. Sometimes she doesn’t eat anything and sometimes she likes to eat salad and like grown-up food. She doesn’t get a dessert. We don’t get desserts at Vinny’s, only at home if we eat all of it. But at home Mommy never eats dessert because she wants to only eat healthy and me and Nolan only eat little desserts.

For vacation, when it’s summer time she likes to go to the beach. Last summer we got a beach house and we got to go to the beach seven times because that is how long we had the beach house. On the beach Mommy just talks to Dad while we play in the sand and the water. She goes in sometimes, but mostly she sits on a blanket under an umbrella and wears sunglasses. There is a pool there shaped like a big rectangle. Sometimes she goes in that.

My mommy is special because she lets us go fun places like Kings Dominion. She loves me because, well, I do not know, but she really does. I love her because, well, I just do.
