This week I read epic battles of the Civil War volume one. The book started like this. Confederate Joseph Johnson was having a meeting 50 miles north east of the union army.General McDowell begins the 20 mile march from Washington DC the intent to destroy the confederate Army   And  end the Civil War. It’s 6:30 AM and the Confederates heard gunfire. Union Fire’s three shots from.  The parrot  gun. At 9:15 AM union forces cross Bull run. But the Confederates were prepared at 11 AM despite the heavy artillery fire .union troops led by showman in Keyes advanced. I didn’t get a chance to finish this book I will write about it my next reading log to that end goodbye for now
