End of Year Reflection

I remember when I put my hands in the pumpkin it felt gooey and weird. I remember we went in the woods and got leaves and we learned about deciduous and forever green trees. We learned about Pilgrims and Native Americans. We made Indian stuff and if we did a good job then we would get feathers for our hats. I practiced writing on the board and I am super-duper good now. The most important thing I learned was writing and drawing and now I’m going to go to kindergarten.

Self Portraits

My first one the hands are almost touching the ground. Now I would make them come out shorter. The next one has hair go down to the floor! And it still has big arms. Now I change my colors and make my skin a color. On the next one I didn’t make my legs the right shape. One of them is ok, but the other one isn’t. She has a ponytail too and I like that. This last one is the best because I made my drawing good on this one. I didn’t make my hands go to the ground. I made my feet good and I made a “L” nose.

My Mommy

My mommy is Jackie Barnes. She has brown skin with light black hair. Her eyes are brown I think. She wears her hair sometimes in a bun. She wears lipstick in pinkish or pink or any color. She wears blush. She uses a brush and she puts it on her cheeks so she can look pretty. She has to roll her eyelashes too, just in case they don’t fall off. She is a lot pretty, as pretty as a flower.

Mommy works at the Pet-i-gone. Daddy works there too. They’re not on the same balcony though. Mommy’s on the top balcony with all the other girls and Daddy is on the bottom balcony with all the other boys. Sometimes she works on computers. She might spell something or just type in some letters. Sometimes they go to Donald Trump’s and sit. Sometimes Donald Trump gives them homework, which Mommy doesn’t want to do because she gets so bored of doing homework.

At home, she has to clean stuff up. She helps me clean up my toys and she has to clean up after the dogs, which is so gross. She does drawing in her drawing book. Sometimes she draws me or she draws famous pictures. Sometimes she might draw a big eye. Daddy thinks her pictures are similar.

Mommy cooks. She makes eggs and sometimes she might cook some rabbit mac and cheese. She cooks tortellini. It’s almost sort of like a dumpling. My favorite is when she makes pancakes. I don’t like turkey. She cooks it and puts salt on it. I don’t like salt. Salt is gross. She doesn’t make desserts, but sometimes we have ice cream that is already made.

Mommy shops at Wegmans, Weis (across from TaeKwonDo), and she also goes to Walmart. At Wegmans she likes to buy some healthy things, like oranges. Sometimes when her plants are dying she might buy some flowers from Wegmans. She likes red roses and white ones. She likes them because they are going to grow and then they stop and die.

Her favorite restaurant is Golden Corral and she also likes to go to Dunkin Donuts and IHOP. At IHOP she likes to get the circle turkey and she gets a bar that has cheese in it. It’s like a cheese bar. She likes to drink water or coffee. For dessert, she gets chocolate and vanilla ice cream. We get two spoons and we dig in.

For vacation, she likes to go to where the baseball is. She likes to watch baseball. She likes to watch the teams go. We say “Go Team.” Sometimes we pick out a room with polka dots and polka dot pillows.

My mommy is special because she has new skirts that have flowers. I love her because she is pretty, pretty. She loves me because I’m pretty too.

My Daddy

My daddy is Dave Henderson. He has almost the same skin as me. His eyes are brown and his hair is black. He wears it curly in the back, in the middle and in the front. Sometimes the shower messes up his hair and that is why he blows dry his hair. He has a little beard, but not a long beard. A long time ago he had a big beard but he shaved it to a small beard. He has little pokey spots and dots on his face and he shaves those off. Well he gets tweezers and gets them off. He is bigger than Mommy. He is very strong, because he does exercising!

Daddy works at the Pet-i-gone. Sometimes he works on computers, sometimes he fixes computers and he types on them. I think he has snack and lunch and naptime but no recess because he is too big. I think they just move the desk and have a big mat to lay on for nap. I think he has friends he whispers to and tells jokes to. To go to work he wears work clothes. He has rainbow color shirts, with work pants and a tie and black shoes.

Sometimes he goes to the gym. I think he does some running or exercise. He does it so he can get super strong. Mommy and me want him to be strong. He needs to be strong so he can lift some big things, likes those poles with round things on the end.

Daddy has money, but he likes to get more so he can buy stuff for Mommy and me and himself. I think he gets money by doing a great job. He works hard. The people that sell money give it to him. At the salon he gets money too from the girl that works there. Her name is Donatina. She gives him money because he is patient and quiet while Mommy gets her nails done. He keeps it in his wallet.

To relax, Daddy puts the chair up with a pillow and a blanket with Sam (my dog) on it. Sometimes he reads a book, or drinks water. He watches sports. Basketball, football, baseball. His team is the Eagles. They throw the ball to the goal. They kick the ball and then they squat down and throw the ball and hit it with a bat. Then they win and the game is over. The winners get a prize like a badge.

Daddy cooks for Mommy and me sometimes. He makes tortellini, spaghetti, and chicken. For breakfast he makes yellow eggs. My favorite thing is spaghetti.

My daddy is special because he wears special clothes and he looks handsome. I love him because I love him so, so, much because he is a hard worker. He loves me because I get him his water and tea.
