4th Grade Memories

I have a lot of good memories. My favorite memories are playing soccer with Mr. Evans.  It was always so fun to pass the ball between the players.  I love playing on Mr. Evans’ team because he always made sure he would pass the ball to me.  I have never played soccer on a team so I’m not very good at it.  Another good memory was the Invention Convention.  I loved the idea of inventing something new.  I also enjoyed presenting my idea to the school.  It was pretty cool to have other students come see my work.  One of my favorite memories in 4th grade was learning how to knit and fingers knit.  Thanks to my amazing teacher,  Mrs. Midkiff, knitting will always be part of my life.  When I learned how to knit I made a few things, like scarves, headbands, coin pouches, and fingerless gloves.  I even made a shawl for my grandma and I was able to send her to heaven with it.  After a while I got a little bored of making 2D stuff; I wanted to knit 3D stuffed animals.  That’s when I made a mouse named Emmy, an octopus named Ellie, a turtle named Michelle, and a bunny named Pickle.   After that  Mrs. Midkiff encouraged me to knit a scene, instead of drawing a picture, for my Ben and Me Project.

Fourth grade was a great year but my least favorite thing about fourth grade was all the homework.  I was also disappointed when we couldn’t go back to school and we did distance learning.  Because of this we missed out on many things that the teachers’ had planned, like Civil War Bootcamp, cooking in Math class, digging through the dirt to learn about erosion, our Kenmore Project, and the Why the Sun and the Moon Live in the Sky concert.  Over all I had a great year and I can’t wait for 5th grade.
