Fourth many memories! One of the best ones was invention grade Ari Gertner

This year was a very fun year; so Convention. This was a great memory because we got to invent something! I invented the Samuel Tall Scooter. My favorite subject was science. This was my favorite subject because you got to do so many fun things such as test out batteries to light bulbs. My favorite book this year was Nancy Drew. This was my favorite book because it was a great mystery. If this year had a theme song it would be Billy Joel We Didn’t Start the Fire.  We could use all the students’ names at the beginning and say, “We didn’t start the fourth grade, it was always going since the world’s been turning!”  This year was so funny and I wish I could see all of you in person.

This week in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlie found the golden ticket. The next morning Charlie and grandpa Joe head to the factory. When Charlie heads to the factory with the other kids, he takes a tour. The first room he goes to is the chocolate room. When they step foot into the room, it is a beautiful a sight, he sees candy everywhere. He also sees a chocolate river .Willy Wonka said the chocolate river is mixed by water fall. It is the only chocolate river  in the whole wide  world that is mixed by water fall that is why it is so good! Once Willy Wonka says it’s ok to have any of the candy in the room, one of the kids goes straight to the chocolate river and starts drinking it. The next thing you know, you hear Willy Wonka saying, “No! Stop drinking that chocolate! It must not be touched by human hands!” Then suddenly, the kid falls in this chocolate river and he can’t swim.

The next room they go into is the inventing room. If you don’t know what the inventing room is, it’s where Mr. Willy Wonka invents all sorts of candy. He says to the children, “You make look around, but don’t touch anything.” When they are about to go to the next room, Mr. Wonka tells them he has one last thing to show them. He says, “Here is a piece of gum that has a whole meal in it. It has breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and dessert . You must not try it, i’ts not quite ready yet.” But one of the kids snatches it from his hand and chews it anyway, She talks about how you can taste the different meals, even the dessert which is blueberry pie. Her mother notices her nose is turning violet. Willy Wonka tells her to spit the gum out because the dessert part is where all his workers turn into blue berries. Violet also turns into a blueberry!

ARIELA GERTNER

This week I started a new book called Charlie and the chocolate factory. This book is a great book for what I have read. All I have read so far is that Charlie is very poor. He lives in a very small house that has two rooms and one bed. Charlie lives with his four grandparents that are all in their 90s. Their family only gets cabbage and cabbage stew for their meals a day. Charlie gets one bar of chocolate a year for his birthday. In the newspaper, they read that the famous Willy Wonka is giving away four golden tickets to visit his chocolate factory. Charlie just opened his birthday chocolate bar, but there was no golden tickest.
