Simple Machines

In science we are studying simple machines. Simple machines make it so that you can do things easier. We used an arm (which is one part of a seesaw) with weights to measure Newton’s (which is a unit of measurement for force) . If there was one thing that I would change in the science project is that I would make everything heavier. My favorite part was when we went on the seesaw that Mrs. Anderson had brought from her house to the steam lab.

Sounds awesome! I loved science experiments when I was a kid, and I remember an experiment in Mr. Drobinske’s class with pulleys – did you use pulleys? Keep experimenting and testing!

Love,
Mommy

Dear Eitan, It sounds as if you are enjoying science. That’s GREAT! Mommy showed me a picture of your class trying to make your teacher move, by using pulleys. It looked like fun and I was particularly happy to see that you are still enjoying the Panda hat I brought from China. Seeing you wearing it made me smile. See you soon. Much love, Savta
