In third grade we have been learning about the three branches of government. One of the three branches of government is Judicial branch of government. The Supreme Court is in the judicial and is the highest court. Nine Supreme Court justices serve for life (or until they retire or pass away).

Another branch of government is legislative. In the legislative branch they make laws. When they make laws the President of the USA has to check it and if he likes the law he will make it a real law.

The last branch of government is the executive branch. The head of the executive branch is the President of the USA.When you are elected you must be 35 to become the president. In war the president is called the commander in chief because he or she is in charge of the armed forces.
