This year in French class we did a song exchange! Mrs. Rutil’s class in France enjoyed learning this song from our first grade class so much that they wanted to return the favor to us! Here is a classic children’s song that they sang for us:
To practice learning the meaning of the song, we did several activities in class. For example, we played a matching card game to learn how to say the clothing items that are mentioned in the song.
We also did a relay race outside!
Here is our version of the song, recorded the last day of French class in first grade:
My favorite learning activity this year was Owls because it can see thing undr grawnd. The grat gray owl is the bigist owl. I am most proud of my owl project.

In French class we had “visitors”: paper dolls named Mathieu and Anais! Here is the post about when they visited me:
Mathieu et Anaïs sont allés dans les montagnes de Virginie avec Knox. Ils ont passé le weekend dans un grand hôtel qui s’appelle The Homestead. Ils ont fait plein de choses intéressantes et amusantes ! Ils ont fait du patin à glace, ils sont montés à cheval, ils ont nagé dans la piscine, et ils ont joué dans la neige ! C’était fantastique !
Mathieu and Anaïs went on a trip to the mountains of Virginia with Knox. They spent the weekend at a resort called The Homestead. They did lots of fun and interesting activities! They went ice skating, horseback riding, swimming in the pool, and they even played in the snow! It was awesome!
