It was a dark and scary night and I was sleeping on my owner’s bed when I heard a scream come from the place next door. The people that live in the house next door are the princess and prince. The princess’s dad is the king of a kingdom miles and miles away. We live in a little town in Ireland next to the ocean called Dingle. I always thought it was weird because her dads’ rivalry kingdom overlooked our small village. When I woke up to her horrible screech, I jumped up and accidentally woke up my owner. He jumped out of bed. I led the way outside. When we got outside, we saw the princess being kidnapped by the knights of the bad kingdom. We saw the prince still sleeping. I said, “we must go back to sleep. We have a long day ahead of us getting the princess back.” My owner said, “you are not going.” I then said, “you are not going. Me and the prince will go.”  “Fine,” he shouted at me.

Eight hours later, I woke up sitting in a wagon going up the hill towards the castle. Before I could say a word, the prince started to dictate what our plans for getting the princess back would be. My sword was in my pocket.  I then asked how long we have been in the wagon. Another voice chimed in. It was the driver of the wagon and he said, “about five minutes.” After all it was only a ten minute wagon ride. Then I looked down. I was wearing a knight costume. We got up the hill. We saw knights, clowns, and even the bad queen drinking some tea. I admired the kingdom. The prince and I hopped out of the wagon and entered the castle. I stopped. I tapped on the prince’s shoulder and whispered, “wow the security here really sucks.” He stared at me for a second and then started to laugh. I then joined in. One of the guards tapped my shoulder and pointed down one of the many hallways. The prince then whispered in my ear, “oh I forgot to tell you, I’m here to pretend that I want to marry the princess.” I then said,”is that why your wearing a tux?” He said, “yeah, I guess.” I said, “what do you mean,  you guess?” He said he thought he would look cooler if he was in a tux rather than his normal clothes. He was then stopped mid sentence by a guard. “Are you going or not,” the guard asked. We started to walk down the hallway when the prince said, “look in your pocket.” I looked and there was a lot of money. I asked ,”what is all of this money for and why do you have a dog carrying it?” He said,”we are paying this king so that i can fake marry the princess.  Apparently, this king lied and said that the princesses he kidnapped was his own daughter and he was going to allow anyone to marry her who paid him a large amount of money.  The prince had decided that he would pay this money so that he could get her back.

Suddenly, we saw the king and the kidnapped princess.  We walked over to the king and gave him the money and the prince said, “we will take her now.”  The king stopped the prince from taking her back.  He said, ” we already have a ceremony arranged so you are too late.”  Then, my costume fell off.  The king looked at me and said, “I know who you are.”  He then called for security.  We pushed him into the chair and started to run.  The prince tackled the guard and told me to run with the princess.  We ran and ran.  Then the princess punched the guard blocking the door.  When we got outside, we saw that the wagon was ready to go.  We hopped in and then all of a sudden the roof of the wagon broke open.  It was the prince.  He had fought all of the guards and jumped off the second floor of the castle.  He landed inside the wagon.  The horses started to run.

We went all the way back down the mountain.  When we arrived, the princess’ parents, the king and queen of the other kingdom and basically all of the kingdom were waiting for us.  The princess jumped out and gave her dad and mom a big hug.   “We missed you so much,” said the king and the queen together.  In conclusion, this is the story of how the prince and I saved the princess.
