My Fourth Grade Year

There were many things that made my fourth-grade year amazing. My teachers, special school projects and the things I studied and learned during the year made me want to come to school every day. Even though I was sad because the year was shortened and I had to do online schooling for the last few months, I still think that it was one of the best years I have had while in elementary school.

One thing that made my fourth-grade year so incredible were the teachers that I had. One example of why they were so great, was that they always made learning fun. My teachers were funny and always made the best puns. They often made me smile. I also enjoyed when Mr. Evans played sports with my friends and I during recess. I loved playing football, basketball, and soccer with Mr. Evans. I also love how I could always ask questions and enjoyed being challenged by my teachers’ questions too. Additionally, I thought it was cool how my teachers rewarded the class for getting our work done by giving us fun activities to do.

Another thing that made my fourth-grade year so awesome and was the most memorable activity I did this year, was the science fair. I liked how we had to come up with our own invention and build it. I also liked how we had to write a journal and draft a patent application. I really enjoyed learning about my classmates’ inventions. I thought it was great to see   what other classmates’ problems were and how their inventions helped them solve that problem. It was fun being able to talk to parents, teachers, and other students about my invention. Finally, it was interesting to see other classmates of mine present their inventions.

The last amazing thing that made my fourth-grade year spectacular were the books that I read during the year. One of my favorite books would have to be Harriet Tubman, The Road to Freedom. The Road to Freedom is a book based on Harriet Tubman’s life. It is a very historical book. It tells the story of how Harriet Tubman escaped slavery and saved more lives by making the underground railroad. I liked how it was based on a true story. I was fascinated to learn what it was like to be a slave in those times. I thought that it was very thought provoking. I also learned a lot about the Harriet Tubman’s life.

In conclusion, fourth grade was my most favorite year so far. My teachers, the science fair, and the great books I read made me enthusiastic about school and learning. I wouldn’t mind repeating fourth grade because it was the BEST YEAR EVER.
