SPCA The SPCA adopts pets that have been stray. They don’t have much money so they get most of their food from donations. Adoptions cost lots of money because if they lose money, they get money from adoptions. They put microchips on the animals so if it runs away they can find it.

On Wednesday we went to F.O.R . The bus ride was only 20 minutes long but at least I didn’t get car sick. First we went to a little house like shelter and looked at pictures that helped bring back memories. Then we started on a little nature journal. After that we hiked to the river. On the way I was some mushrooms. They were white on the top and brown everywhere else. When we got to the river, we did some journaling. Then we walked to the canal and saw some turtles. Then we ate lunch. I had peanut butter and crackers and something else. Then we talked about the water cycle and played a game about the water cycle.

If you tell people to be quiet and they do, you might get extra recess. You’d  probably enjoy the Royal Banquet even though its close to the end of the year, its worth waiting. When you go to the Natural History Museum go to the hall of mammals because it has a evolution movie. At Riverside you’ll see the movie about the  Velveteen Rabbit .Its about a boy who gets a rabbit for Christmas,  and at night, the rabbit and all the other animals play.

In French class we learned lots of nature words. Here are some things that I observed while out in nature. For this project, we used the iPads to take photos outside, and then we used iMovie to create our videos!

My Mom

My mom likes to go shopping. She takes me with her.

On weekends, we’ll go outside to play.

Thoughtfully, she’ll sometimes let buy things I want.

Her hugs are very, very tight.

Every school day, she’ll say something in Japanese to wake me up.

”Remember” she always says ”Don’t lie and be honest”.

Happy Mothers Day!

Love,

Taro
