Mrs. Rutil’s class enjoyed learning this song from our first grade class so much that they wanted to return the favor to us! Here is a classic children’s song that they sang for us:
To practice learning the meaning of the song, we did several activities in class. For example, we played a matching card game to learn how to say the clothing items that are mentioned in the song.
We also did a relay race outside!
Here is our version of the song, recorded the last day of French class in first grade:

In first grade I got better at learning how to do art because I have more exspearence. I learned how to count money. I am most proud of morning meeting because I have to figure out what time it is. I am looking forward to reading chapter books in second grade.
My favorite learning activity was making my picture of asteroids. I learned that asteroids might have formed the moon. I am most proud of my report because I got to write facts.

I felt good about doing my report on asteroids because some people think asteroids created the moon. I was proud of how I presented my report because I got to read it and I like reading.

I am learning about space. If you stand on a gas planet you will sink. The storm on Jupiter is three or four times bigger than earth. The planet Uranus has therteen rings around it. Pluto is not a planet because it is too small.

We have been learning about Eric Carle. He teaches a lot in his books. My favorite Eric Carle book is The Mixed up Chameleon. I like it because the chameleon looks funny.
