I felt good about going to the zoo. It was my second time going to the Richmond Zoo. On the bus ride, there was a ton of potholes. I sat with Campbell on the bus and we did Rubicks cubes together. Once we got there, at lunch I sat with Taylor and Levi. One animal I liked seeing was the bison because I have never seen one before. Something that surprised me was that when a giraffe ate food from my hand, his or her tongue curved. Two things I would tell a second-grader about is if they go there they should bring quarters to feed the giraffes, and not to stick your fingers through the holes in the fencing where the penguins are because they could peck them.

R: I liked the zoo because of the birds. One of them had a huge wingspan. The little parakeets were fun to feed.

In French class we learned clothing vocabulary and had a fashion show- un Défilé de Mode! Knox was my partner and we presented each other’s outfits as we walked on the runway. C’était magnifique!

R:I liked the fashion show because we had lines to say. Also, we could dress up any way we wanted.

In Steam Lab we did a class on simple machines. The partner I had was Jaylin. We also did some things on pull and push. On some questions the answers were pull or push and sometimes both.My favorite part was the slinky. The answer I got for that one was pull and push I think. I like it is very fun that Mrs. Anderson is teaching us. This is the second day of science and now we are doing simple machines. I like that Mrs. Anderson is teaching us about the fulcrum,levers,the load, and efforts.

R: I liked Steam lab because it was fun to learn about pull and push.Fulcrums are nice to learn about how simple machines work.

SPCA The SPCA adopts pets that have been stray. They don’t have much money so they get most of their food from donations. Adoptions cost lots of money because if they lose money, they get money from adoptions. They put microchips on the animals so if it runs away they can find it.

Trees

Trees sway in the wind

their leaves start to drip water

then the sun comes out.

School

School is where you learn

now and then you’ll clean out desk’s

then you’ll play outside.

Reflection: I like my Haiku because it’s cool how it makes a picture in your mind.

My reindeer was found at my house. My reindeer’s name is fuzzball. I keep my reindeer in a pen. My reindeer’s favorite food is pizza. Me and my pet reindeer like to play make – it-take it. I take care of my reindeer by brushing it. Something special about my reindeer is that it never does anything bad.

Reflection:

I chose this writing because my reindeer’s name is cute and funny. I also like it because one of my favorite foods are pizza and I play make -it -take it with my Dad.

My favorite learning activity was making my picture of asteroids. I learned that asteroids might have formed the moon. I am most proud of my report because I got to write facts.

I felt good about doing my report on asteroids because some people think asteroids created the moon. I was proud of how I presented my report because I got to read it and I like reading.

I feel good about my owl progect because I learnerd a lot. I am most proud of writeing the notes because I learnerd a lot.
