Wednsday: Catstronauts Slapdash Science 35 min.

Thursday: Bart Simsons Guide to Life 40 min.

Paragraph: This week I read Bart Simsons Guide to Life. It is probably one of the most funny books I have ever read. My favorite chapter is Food. In that it includes ‘Homers Dozen Donut a Day Diet’, along with a diagram of the donut. Bart also made a contraption to photograph Santa. It’s kind of like a Rube Goldberg invention. Also, it is very complicated. In conclusion, I read Bart Simsons Guide to Life this week.

Castle Writing

This writing is about a castle. To get in there are many, hard traps. The first one is several, small levers. You must quickly flip them in the correct order. If you get the order wrong, then a creaky trapdoor opens, dropping you into a bottomless pit. Next, there are a network of hidden tunnels. The passages are very narrow making it tough to get through. On the walls of the dark tunnels, there are tricky illusions to confuse and fool you. If you get past that, then there is a giant gate. There are one hundred numbers on a old, collapsing wall. The password is extremely hard. The huge gate will open when the password is right. After that, there is a gigantic pot of gold. In conclusion, those are the traps in the castle.

Spirit Week

I like that we celebrate crazy hat and hair day. Tomorrow I will be wearing blue clothes because of spirit week. The reason I didn’t celebrate crazy hat/hair day is that I woke up too late. My favorite thing about spirit week is tattoo’s because they feel funny. If I could make any day, it would be donut day every Friday.

Our Trip To The Zoo

I felt good about going to the zoo. It was my second time going to the Richmond Zoo. On the bus ride, there was a ton of potholes. I sat with Campbell on the bus and we did Rubicks cubes together. Once we got there, at lunch I sat with Taylor and Levi. One animal I liked seeing was the bison because I have never seen one before. Something that surprised me was that when a giraffe ate food from my hand, his or her tongue curved. Two things I would tell a second-grader about is if they go there they should bring quarters to feed the giraffes, and not to stick your fingers through the holes in the fencing where the penguins are because they could peck them.

R: I liked the zoo because of the birds. One of them had a huge wingspan. The little parakeets were fun to feed.

My Science Project

My animal was the lion. I chose the lion because my last name in India means lion. First we read and took notes, then we organized the notes and finally we wrote out what we were going to say. Two things I learned was that the lions nickname is “King of beasts” and that it is not endangered but vulnerable. At first before my presentation I was a bit nervous, but after I felt good. Some fun facts are the lions roar can be heard from five miles away! Also in the wild it lives about twelve to fifteen years, and in captivity, it lives twenty to twenty-five years.I found that it’s mating season is February through April.

Pajama Day

Posted by taro | Posted in Third Grade | Posted on April 4, 2019

The reason we got a pajama day is because we won the box top contest. Whoever brings in the most box tops wins, and in that case, we won. When we figured out that we won, we went crazy wacky. I felt very happy because it’s the first time I have ever won. Even though we got the privilege to wear pajamas, I just wore normal clothes. We also got to bring a stuffed animal. I forgot to bring one so I adopted one from Mrs. Llufrio.

My Favorite Meal

My favorite meal would have appetizers first. They would be warm calamari and yellow lemonade. Calamari is one of my favorite foods. The main meal would be delicious Thai noodles. A big part of my family is Asian, and Thailand is in Asia.My dessert would be a fizzy, sticky, root beer float. I would want to take a big glass because then I would have more and it tastes good. I would have that meal with my family. My mom is also a good cook, so if we can’t eat that, then my mom could cook something like Japanese food.

My Perfect School Day

During my perfect I would study history, sit with Channing, and play Royalty in P.E. In the morning I would study history about the Civil War. I would learn about the battle of Bull Run and Gettysburg. I have a book called who was Abraham Lincon and it talks about the Gettysburg address. I would also learn about Alaska. Its close border with Russia makes me wonder if its a bit like Russia. I want to learn about the natives there, too.The scientists there probably study about Alaska’s polar bears and oil resources. I bet they study about the tall, cold, mountains there. At lunch I would sit with Channing and joke with him and tell him secrets. Also, in quickest, cleanest quietest, I would throw away the trash and clean the floor. If we won we would get to choose a table to do the Funky- Chicken- Dance. In the afternoon, we would play Royalty. Levi would be king and I would be the fake one. When we do warm up laps, I would pace myself and run with Archie. Then on the gray line, since its only one lap, I would sprint. In conclusion, I would study history, sit with Channing at lunch, and play Royalty in P.E.

Anna’s Super Glasses

Before I did the performance, I felt normal because I’ve done a lot of performances. My favorite song was Anna’s Song. My second favorite song was the Optometrist. It had a lot of drums in it. The reason I liked that song is because the guitar chords were nice. The instrument I played was the xylophone. One thing I liked about the xylophone was that the spot lights didn’t blind me and the keys I played were C and G. During the performance I felt okay and after, I felt good. At the evening I will probably have the same feelings too, okay and good.

This Week

This week all the lower school got a bingo board. It was about manners, and every time you do something good you get to color in a space. Once you get five spaces in a row colored in, you can get a extra recess. Today we also saw a Kindergarten play called The Little Red Bird and The Lion. They had instruments for thunder and lightning. The ones that were really loud were the drums. We are talking about  the government. There is a paper we have that has pictures of Senators. My favorite special is Foreign Language. For 2 days there was a french visitor named Doris. Madame Ibarra showed us pictures of France because we have to do a weather report on France.
