A Year in the Fourth Grade

When I first came to fourth grade, I thought it would be dreadful but I was wrong. It was better than I expected. I certainly wasn’t the best but I was good. There were so many funny moments like when Ari got lemon juice in her eye, or when I crashed one of the peddle vehicles on the play scape. But the best time I had was when we had the Halloween party. It was lit. Remote Falcon was hard because it’s easier to learn in school. School days are shorter but I didn’t get as many breaks.
Spelling was my favorite subject because I usually got 100 per cent on tests. My favorite project was the Call it Courage diorama because I made a miniature volcano on mine that I erupted after the project was done. My favorite book was Dogman Catch 22. I liked recess when we had it indoors because we got to play Bey Blades and Pokemon. But things like these never last forever. I really enjoyed it in the fourth grade but we had to depart at some point in time. And this week is it.

The Curse of the Red Panda

One day while I was walking, I met a red panda while I was listening to “Panda,” the song. Suddenly the red panda ran up and slapped me in the face with his tail. So I thought I had done something bad. Then the next thing I know everything I ever wanted came true. I was rich and King of the World. I became better than Ninja at Fortnite and won the World Cup for Fortnite. Then the next thing, I see is that the red panda has now become famous in Asia and is enslaving mankind to do all the animals’ biddings forever. I’m the only person left in the world who isn’t enslaved so now it wasn’t worth it to get the red panda’s magic.

But suddenly Jack smells something bad and sure enough a slimy monster appears. They manage to escape on a rolling library cart.

The kids escape back to town and go see Bardle at Joe’s Pizza. They want to know what it means if a human speaks in the language of Rezzoch.
Bardle says a human speaking in the language of Rezzoch is bad news. Dirk is the only one who remembers what she said. Bardle translates it to mean IT HAS BEGUN. He says they have to get the Louisville Slicer back or it will get worse.
The kids need the help of the Friendly Monsters but the monsters are afraid of snow and don’t like the winter. Jack and June, and Quint and Dirk try to get them to play in the snow and have a snow ball fight but its no good. Then June comes up with a good idea to teach the monsters about Christmas. That makes Jack have a good idea to make a gift for June. June is in charge of making a Christmas celebration. Meanwhile, Jack and Quint investigate the human who they are calling the Villaness.

Ship Wrecked

As I was leaning over the ship rail, I fell off. I won’t tell you what I was doing, but I fell off. Luckily, I had on my backpack. I swam to the nearest land I could see and now I am stranded on a shipwreck island. I have a box of medicine, a long ax and a flare gun in my backpack. I also have my bouncy live fox with me because he goes everywhere I go. The reason I have a box of medicine is if I get cut or sick I can use it for first aid to heal. The reason I have a long ax is to chop down trees and to get food. The reason I have a flare gun is to scare off animals. I’m really glad I fell with my backpack on because now I have these items to live, hunt, and survive. And my energetic fox is to keep me company and for warmth.

This week I started a new book called Last Kids on Earth and the Nightmare King. So far Jack and his friends are now living in the parking lot of Joe’s Pizza and inside of Joe’s pizza is a bunch of monsters who are now allies with the humans. And since there are no rules in the Apocalypse they decided to go go-carting. Jack went out real quick but when they got by the fire station they heard humans talking. There were zombies to get past but when they did they discovered that the noise was coming from the radio. Then they heard a bad noise coming from the roof. When they went up to look for it they saw a giant winged wretch. It scared the pants off of Jack and put him in a daze. We will find out what happens next week.
I finished Last Kids on Earth and the Nightmare King so this is what happened in the rest of the book.
The Kids had discovered a radio in the old firehouse that proved there were other humans alive. But Jack worried about losing his friends if they were reunited with their families. Jack is an orphan and June, Quint and Dirk and the Monsters are his family now so he doesn’t want that to change. He decides to make living in the post Apocalypse the most fun so the kids will never want to leave. He even takes them to a Fun Park where they get to ride all the rides for free.
They need an antenna for the radio so they go to Big Al’s Junk Palace to see if they can get one. They are climbing a pile of junk when they discover it is really a sleeping Kraken monster that they name the Scrapken. Fortunately they get an antenna before he chases them out.
Meanwhile Rezzoch, the Evil Devourer is visiting Jack in his dreams showing him what the world would be like if Jack was King and could force his friends to stay. And Rezzoch shows him if Jack does not obey him everyone will be destroyed. Rezzoch is coming to Earth through the King Wretch.
At the amusement park, Jack is attacked by the King Wretch and June, Quint and Dirk save him but they drop the radio. Jack feels bad that the radio is broken but they tell him saving him was more important. They have to get back to town and they have to fight a bunch of wretches on the way. Rezzoch tries to get Jack on his side but Jack says no. Jack is the defender of his friends and he does not want to be their king and will not accept everyone being destroyed. Jack tricks the King Wretch to go to Big Al’s and the Scrapken destroys the King Wretch for waking it up. Rezzoch is destroyed but not forever. He’ll be back.

Recently I started a new book called Last Kids on Earth and the Cosmic Beyond. So far everyone is getting ready for the holidays by making snow gear so they could have fun. As they were having fun they saw a human survivor on a giant beast. The human is a woman with black hair and glasses. She is riding a whiter than snow creature with just one arm. The kids are excited to see another human.
June, Dirk and Quint all want to talk to the human but Jack says to wait. But Quint goes ahead and talks to her. The monster is about to turn Quint into a pancake so Jack goes to his rescue with his special weapon, the Louisville Slicer which is a wooden bat made into a wooden bladed weapon. It’s Jack’s weapon for the Zombie Apocalypse. The monster grabs the Louisville Slicer with big its big slimy tongue and steals it. The monster throws it up and the human catches it. As she catches the weapon, she screams in the language of Rezzoch, the Ancient Devourer. The kids are shocked and afraid and they escape but Jack vows to get his weapon back. You’ll find out if he does next week.

The Sleeping Giant

The Sleeping Giant
Once upon a time, there was an evil giant who ate people. One day when he was eating his meal, he accidentally left the bones and some meat behind. One year later he came back to finish his meal only to discover it had turned into a tree on what is now called Earth Day.
Even though this sounds very scary, this is what giants do and he is just a regular giant. He eats people because he’s hungry. He doesn’t make trees from their bones on purpose. It’s just something that happened by accident. Fortunately, he only needs to eat once a year. Unfortunately, when he does eat, he eats thousands of people. But not all of these people become trees, only the ones whose bones he scatters. He eats in random spots but you can always tell where he had his last meal before he fell asleep because a tree grows there.
So every Earth Day people would get eaten and turned into trees. People named him Tree Maker and when Earth Day ends he become a sleeping stone statue again. Hippies come out and leave him offerings so they won’t be eaten and turned into trees. Sadly, they still get eaten, no matter what.

I have finished Last Kids on Earth. So far, Jack rescued June Del Toro even though she didn’t need to be saved. He found her hiding in the old middle school. Jack, Quint and Dirk drove Big M4m4 over to the school. They had to fight their way through a giant zombie ball to get to her. They convinced June to go but first they had to fight Blarg! When everyone was going back to the Big M4m4, they brought attention to themselves because Dirk stepped on a stick. They rushed to the car but Jack forgot to turn the car lights off. Blarg can’t see at night but with the car lights on he was able to see them. Jack caused a distraction so the others could get to safety. Then Jack beamed toward the streets. As he was running he came to a dead end so Jack fired a bottle of one of Quint’s scientific concoctions at Blarg which just made him spit acid. Then as Blarg was about to devour his next meal, a tennis ball hit him right in the face. Then Rover, Jack’s mutant war dog, jumped out and rescued Jack. They hit the road! When Rover brought Jack home to the tree house there was a big battle! Blarg was killed. Jack completed the last of his apocalyptic feats on his list. There was a big mess to clean up but all the friends were together safe in the tree house. Or were they?
